Meet our Operations Manager - Tony

Hi There!  

After more than 30 years in the industrial manufacturing sector as an Electrician, where I worked for multinational companies and operated my own local electrical business, I gained extensive experience in repairing, maintaining and installing industrial food & textile machinery. All whilst strictly complying with Work Health and Safety and all relevant Australian standards. I also pursued a Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, which enabled me to develop and deliver training materials in the workplace for maintenance personnel.

By 2019, I was ready for a change and completed my Cert IV in Disability, inspired by the need to strengthen support for those in the disability sector, especially for a family member. This opened the door to a new and fulfilling career where I discovered a deep passion for helping participants achieve their goals.

Currently, I’m the operations Manager at Sakura Connect, overseeing HR, payroll, governance, compliance, health & safety and IT support. I stay actively involved in the disability sector as a Support Coordinator, where I apply my logical, solution-driven mindset to meet the diverse needs of participants, driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
